CROPLAND FOR LEASE ON BIDS: Written bids will be taken for lease of the following parcels of land containing approximately 68.67 acres of cropland in Barnes County, North Dakota:
Auditors Lot Number Two (2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE¼) of Section Thirty-one (31), in Township One Hundred Forty (140) North, of Range Fifty-eight (58) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Barnes County, North Dakota, according to the Plat of Auditors Lot Number 2 of NE¼, Section 31, Township 140N, Range 58 W, Barnes County, North Dakota, recorded on February 23, 2004, in the office of the County Recorder, Barnes County, North Dakota, in Book “B” of Auditors Plat age 99, as Document Number 251585, said Lot 2 containing 31.45 acres, more or less, as described and shown on said plat; and
Auditors Lot Number One (1) of the Northwest Quarter (NW¼) of Section Thirty-two (32), in Township One Hundred Forty (140) North, of Range Fifty-eight (58) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Barnes County, North Dakota, according to the Plat of Auditors Lot Number 1 & 2 of NW¼, Section 32, Township 140 N, Range 58 W, Barnes County, North Dakota, recorded on February 23, 2004, in the office of the County Recorder, Barnes County, North Dakota, in Book "B" of Auditors Plat, Page 98, as Document Number 251584, said Lot 1 containing 58.62 acres, more or less, as described and shown on said plat.

MINIMUM BID: $70.00/acre
WRITTEN BIDS: Written bids will be accepted on both parcels as a whole. Bids must be signed by the bidder and must include the bidder’s mailing address, telephone number, email address, intended use and statement of qualifications and ability to meet the terms of the lease agreement. All bids must be sealed and mailed or hand delivered to Farm Lease Bid, City of Valley City, 220 3rd St. NE, Valley City, ND, 58072. Bids must be received by 10:00am on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Immediately following the close of bids, written bids will be opened in the Commission Chambers, City Hall, 220 3rd St. NE, Valley City. The City Administrator may evaluate information provide by bidders and assign scores in order to determine the bidder that is best able to meet the conditions of the lease agreement. The highest and best bid must be presented to the Board of City Commissioners for approval.

The City intends to lease the above described property for agricultural purposes for two years with an option to extend a third year. Cash rent is payable in two installments in April and October. Land designated for City Public Works use and emergency tower use is excluded from tillable acreage. Copies of the lease, soil information, and aerial maps are available at City Hall upon request or at www.valleycity.us. Bidder is responsible for investigating any conditions that may restrict bidder’s intended use. The CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, TO WAIVE IRREGULARITIES OR INFORMATILITIES IN THE BIDS, HOLD ALL BIDS FOR 30 DAYS FROM DATE OF OPENING, AND TO MODIFY THE PROCEDURES DESCRIBED HEREIN.
